My 1980 3.3 Turbo has previously gone under the guises MRT600 KCH186V PTA930 LBU614V A7LPS and is now CHG52V.

I've only owned the car for 9 months but in that time I've documented all of the full service history via receipts that came with the car. The car has also had an engine rebuild with new head studs.

Obviously some of the previous registrations are quite distinctive so I was wondering if anyone could shed any light on its past history in terms of who owned it etc.

The car is Grand Prix White with linen leather and I'd be most obliged if anyone can turn up information on its previous life.

Cheers

As the registered owner of a vehicle you can request a full history from DVLA. There is an admin charge, but what you get are copies of all their microfiche records ie every registration document and cherished transfer form that has ever been filed for the car. This gives you names, addresses, dates etc that you can use to write to everyone - When I've done it I have had really good responses. My 930 had 2 owners in it's first 2 days - Straight out of Charles Follett, down to Bramley Guildford, with a 20% 'commission' for the first short lived owner !
