i have the 420 its fantasic ,would love a better exhaust note from this car ?? any one reccomend an exhaust/rear box woluld rather keep it legall ,,,

I have the Brabus exhaust (back boxes) on mine.

Its never gonna rumble like the V8 petrol, but it does deepen the sound and gives it a bit of "fruitiness"...quad Brabus tips looks a lot better too.

hey how much were the brabus boxes ?? were they from main dealer ??? also did you fit your own kleemann kd box???

They're not cheap unfortunately...about £1500 from Mercedes if I recall.

Yes, I did fit the kleemann, but it was a bit of a nightmare...Whilst it may be plug in and play the fuel rail you need to plug it into is right at the back of the engine, so you need to remove the airbox, ducts and MAFs first! Worth the effort though

how long a job was it ?? im pretty good on he spanners did it come with instrucions ???

Instructions were pretty generic unfortunately although its not a massive job once you find where all the hidden nits are or you're familiar with these engines.

Took me 2 hours in the end with the help of a mechanic buddy.
