With all the "claims" about horsepower from your friendly tuner or K&N filter salesman, this is something everyone should be aware of. Pretty informative into.

Interesting article, but nothing much that I didn't know already, though I was surprised at just how sneaky those engine management peeps are getting! Good thing I have an old-fashioned porker!
What it _doesn't_ say is that you need to ask your dyno man for a print-out at the wheels, because otherwise they can just enter whatever figure they like for the driveline losses, and your before and after comparisons are now meaningless...
And of course it goes without saying that when attempting to do before/after runs to determine tuning gains (or losses!) then you need to be running on the same dynamometer, with preferebly the same ambient air temperature/pressure too...
