A few from Virginia Water

I've been to Virginia Water several times for Pistonheads meets, but I've never actually had a stroll around the lake. The nipped over there the other weekend. I wasn't in a particularly photographic mood until the end of my walk, but am reasonably pleased with these:

Love the rippling in #3. Perhaps a little lightening up in them. Good stuff.

Like no.3 the most but it could do with straightening and the person in the top cloning out.

technically no. 3 was level, tripod has a bubble. - the lay of the land makes it look otherwise, but i think you're right, it would look better rotated a few degrees.


Hadn't really spotted my whites aren't white on a few too - I blame my poor laptop monitor (and being too lazy to check things with a histogram...)

Depends if you mean white (as in WB) or neutral (ie WB is right but maybe not exposure). Not every image has 100% white in it.

Ooops, I wasn't really referring to WB- I meant to say 'whites aren't bright'. The spray in pic 3 looks nice and bright, but in pic 2 exposure is a little under and the white of the spray look a little dull and grey.


Is it normal to end up critiquing ones self so much? I'm sure i spend more time looking for whats wrong than just enjoying a nice picture i've taken!
