At the moment i am in the process of fitting 6" dynaudio components into the standard front locations, With a alpine 7939 head unit, soundstream picasso amp. As for the rear speakers they reside in the bin.

Think Bogies got a decent install in his car, and I think Drags got some too

theres some pics on my weshots page.

What do you mean hide? You can do a custom rear bulkhead for built in sub(s) and then stick the amp in the boot on the rear face vertically so you dont lose hardly any space.

Karll - Id be interested to see how youve got some 6" into the front 4" speakers holes !...I could do with some myself ...have you made up some sealed enclosures?

You can fit an amp above the passenger foot rest and run the audio cables through the centre consol and then run them up behind the seats to the speaker enclosures.

You can then use the standard enclosures or build your own.

You cant get much more hidden than that without using camoflage netting!

The music comes from that large compartment behind the seats!

I dont have anything like Sir Bogie's install

K, you dont need to go mad, with hiding stuff. If you like music with a bit of bass and loud then get a decent head unit with good power "outtage" (im currently running 4x52watts) and a bass tube.

Your headunit should let you turn the bass tube right up, while turning the bass off to your speakers.

This way, you get loud bass (via the tube), but no distorsion from the speakers.

My system is fairly loud (enough to not notice a police siren behind me...he gave me the coffee bean sign when he went past ) but not deafening!

If your not happy after this, change your speakers to the dual-mag variety (IIRC). These speakers dont use magnets, but chemicals. Thus, there is a huge power, but the speaker is fairly small (it will fit in).

Dual-mags are about £90. Im fitting some (as a treat) on tuesday 18th may (last exam ). I'll let you know how it goes

BTW, im no audio expert.

Look for the Phead member "RCA" (chim owner). I met up with him about a week or so ago...He has a sweet install, and knows about getting big power from small spaces drop him a mail
