Tell me more about yoga

I need to improve posture, suppleness & my back muscles and reading up on yoga it seems to be the answer

Is it overly spiritual? as I don't think that bit would do it for me, or does it come as a package smile

It will be good for back, posture, flexibility, toning and general well-being. Most classes aren't spiritual and just trendy. wink

Yoga can come in all shapes and sizes (just like those attending). Shop around and try out a few classes or speak to the instructor first.

Stuff like ashtanga which is quite, well, vigourous, may not be for you, but normal hatha yoga should be fine.

I wouldn't say I'm a particularly spiritual person, but have been doing yoga for years now and have seen a lot of benefit from it. Its great for flexibility, balance and core strength.

Did Bikram yoga a couple of years back. An hour and half of present positions in a 40 degree c studio. I nearly passed out the first time I went and I consider myself pretty fit.
