The first day I arrived with the open exhaust my neighbour came running out of his house thinking someone was shooting guns (I revved it up on the driveway and had a few backfires).Two days later I arrived home at 2 AM, only to be greeted by the same neighbour with the words "hey mate, how long are you going to make so much noise"...

Used my Cerb to take my neighbour's son and his mates to his end of school prom a few years ago. As I tried to push the car through the excited gaggle of glam ragged teenagers I heard one of the mothers remark 'he should get his exhaust fixed'. Was louder then, I think, but since the LS conversion I had it measured at Oulton Park at 105db @ 4500rpm.

Not trying to put the mockers on this one but why did you choose dBC? dBC is an expression of the overall power of the sound wave, not the volume as detected by the human ear, it may give a higher result because it covers all frequencies. dBA & dBC are closely related but not the same. dBA is the acoustic volume weighted for the human ear and is the measure used by race circuits, the Police and the Environment Agency for noise abatement.It's a 2006 CEL -224, obviously it's difficult to see the 0.??? of a dB being an analogue meter
