do you do a lot of short journeys?

condense buildup in exhaust and camcase could give these symptoms and be nothing to worry about.. then again.. it is french..

Did you buy it off some old duffer? Give the car some good hard thrashing on the motorway and then change the oil. The mayonnaise and water in the exhaust are common on cars that do nothing but short trips all the time. It's condensation as the engine and exhaust never get up to operating temperature so the condensation never clears properly.

Just ignore it and drive it until it is dead.

As already said, most probably condensation.

Give it a good run every now and again.

Water out of the exhaust really isn't unusual. It is one of things that cars do that people don't notice, then suddenly one cool day comes along and they realise there's loads of water coming out of the exhaust.

Hydrocarbons (CH) + lots of Oxygen (O2) = CO2 + H2O (water) + lots of heat

If you are concerned, get a pressure test done, and get the header tank sniffed by the sniffer machine for hydrocarbons.

Does the heater still work well??? Does the temp gauge move when the engine is under load?

Dont worry about it until your coolant level drops or the temp gauge goes into the red and if it does go bang, just buy a second hand motor, it may well work out cheaper than fixing the one in it smile
