about 5-6 years ago we used to live in Mayfair, and at that time I was driving a Touareg 3.2. I used to park every night between an SL500 and a bentley (both of which pump out much more Co2 etc etc than the treg) and yet the unwashed hippy idiots would only ever put stickers on my car .....morons

There was a campaign mounted by some whingey bored housewifey mumsy type in Chelsea a while ago which entailed planting fake parking tickets on 4x4s, with "witty" (for a housewife at least) re-wording of the ticket to turn it in to a thinly veiled warning about global warming, polar bears, yukka plants and stuff.
She ended up in Court for something clever like causing undue stress to the recipient.
I'd say being likened to a paedo is grounds enough to give the silly twunt in this case both barrels.

The letter appeared to have been glued to the drivers door on the paintwork!!

Absolute a55holes.

It also looked like they had specifically targeted full fat range rovers as there were several other 4x4s parked on road.

I saw that someone had placed a sticker over the number plate on the back of a Cayenne in Islington this morning - Something like CO2K1LL5.

i dont get what they think will happen? They spend their own time and money doing this, the owners just come along, tear it off, and throw in the bin.

Ha.

I moved from Parsons Green last August. In the month of owning the LSE before moving I had 2, TWO, DEUX, DVA (I could go on) of the SAME bloody notes left on my window, let alone 1 person who actively shouted at me as I left the White Horse accusing me of complete and utter selfishness and what about the kids and all that nonsense. I engaged this tit as they carried on walking but seemed more eager to keep walking than thrash out the pro's/cons of buying a new car and the resulting emissions of manufacture. Needless to say I got a cheer from a few patrons!

Now in Belsize Park and a woman I know used to drive an X5 and constantly had heavy glued stickers on her window. Now she has a Prius and gets the same notes (read stickers) on the window which proclaim to be 'a kiss from mother nature'! I suggest they use different fliers that don't cause grief to get off to those they are trying to thank.

I arm wrestle them to the ground and then sit on their chests to stop them breathing. I like to do my bit for the environment whenever I canhehe

as my user name says i used to have (in fact still have for sale a GC)

i'm disabled and as such i've been verbally abused on more occasions than i can count when parking in disabled spaces at tesco etc

i'm told the disabled get too much benefit if they can drive this sort of car etc etc

motorbility should be changed to stop me having this car!

bring back the 'old invalid' carriages!!!

every time i tell them its MY car and i get nothing paid towards it - just the blue badge

Might I suggest copying those who do not wish to receive junk mail through the post by informing people of that above their letter box? Instead of 'Del' and 'Rodney' adorning the top of your windscreen informing people of the occupants of your vehicle as per Only Fools and Horses you could try telling these heathens of your knowledge of your emissions damaging the environment and then exclaiming that you don't care, or just say 'I LOVE THE SOUND OF MY V8!

That'll piss them off

wink

Well!

when someone designs a fuel efficient car that can get me out of this:

And can Tow 3 ton trailers....
And can take me to work on the daily commute.....
And can get me to the builders merchants to pick up all my own stuff without the need for delivery wagons.....
And will last for 50 plus years.......
And isn't taxed to the hilt even though it only has a 2.4 TDI with Euro 3 emissions...????

I will be first in the queue!!!

The great carbon con is loosing its humour.. Its really sad that so many of lifes meaningless failures who don't actually contribute anything of worth to society, cannot wire a plug etc etc have so much to say based on so little knowledge.

pretty sure my chariot is much more green than any nickel / cadmium infested hybrid, especially over its 50 year life span!!!

JUST HOW LONG DO NI CADS IN HYBRIDS LAST??? Is anyone asking that question yet

Certainly in fire alarms, diesel stand by generators, emergency lighting installations, the general consensus is 5 years tops????
