I had thought this would be simple... quick internet search and I'd know what I needed to buy - sadly it hasn't been!

I think I have the original BMW battery in the car and it now needs replacing (not holding a charge). It's rated at 850cca and 110ah.

I'm having issues finding similar power batteries, and most of the online battery shops return results of 800/850cca and maxing out at 100ah - is this ok?? Does the extra 10ah matter?

I'd also seen this one recommended:

http://www.boschbatteries.co.uk/Products/BOSCH-SIL...

But when I enter my model details the site claims the battery will not fit the car (despite it being the only I've found that just about exactly matches the dimensions of the current part).

So, basically, before I go and put £125 down on a new battery I'm looking for a bit of advice!

Thanks in advance!

Replaced my battery the middle of last year, ended up getting it from www.eurocarparts.com. Correct size one for £110 Bosch Silver with 5 year warranty.

OK, thanks...

I've reserved the same one for pick up this evening from my local Halfords.
