SL55 AMG question
Discussion
Just bought myself a 52 plate SL55 and all seems fine with it exept when I got into the car this morning
to go to work. Started her up and the display went red saying cat too low do not drive, Then after about
10 seconds or so it went off and was fine. Is this a normal overnight thing as I had stopped the car on
it's highest suspension setting ?
Cheers, Col

not sure tbh, has it only happened the one time? it if recurs then there may be an issue and as you rightly say it may be because of the air suspension adjustment. However there have been times when I've driven for days on a higher setting and no issues, so might just be 'computer error', also have you damaged the car from underneath (hit the exhaust on bumps or anything or any rattling noise? - cat may refer to cat converters underneath car of which there are four)
Also does the car feel like its sitting 'unequally' or feel like its correcting itself - I am aware that there are sensors located near the axles that record ride height at each of the four corners of the car so if it does recur then one might need changing? Also any fluid leaking below the car? - would be a more serious issue - this is the fluid related to the suspension but don't quote me on any of this
If you are ever unsure then take the car to MB or any specialist and just put it on diagnostics - all confirmed fault codes will be stored and can be seen, so if it does not come up then you can be reassured, but if it does not recur then I wouldn't worry

I'll take you for a spin no probs Sider. Truck has gone now but still got the TVR but that will be for sale soon.
Yep it has only happened the once but car drives fine it moves up and down nice and level and no signs of fluid
on the drive.will see if it does it again in the next few days.
