The ongoing fuel-saving thread reminded me that I had my first £100 fill up this weekend (well, actually £101.52 nerd). TBH, I've been expecting it for a while now, so it didn't come as much of a shock.

Anyway, who else has had the fuel pump tick over into three figures?
I haven't got a 75l fuel tank, so I'll have to wait until fuel is over 165p a litre before I get 3 figure fuel fill-ups.

I've had three figure fill ups for some time now. (95 litre tank)

I'm delighted that more and more people are now experiencing this pain too.

£34 from totally empty to brimmed, but then I am driving a hired shoebox that blows around in the wind.

Used to be able to get £70 in a year ago, so dread to think what the old Volvo is going to be like with the current fuel prices....

With a 70L tank I'm not quite there yet..... and last 2 fill-ups during past two weeks have been close at £95 and a few pence..... but I know it will be very soon and am mentally preparing myself for that horrific milestone frown

£100.63 fillup last night - I did use V-Power though since everyone on here keeps banging on about it so much. Can't really tell the difference between this and Tesco though.

It'll need filling again on Thursday morning.

Mondeo man will soon be paying £100 to fill up won't he? I'm sure that will be a Daily Mail front page.

I bought a car with a much larger engine just as the fuel prices shot up in 2008, it went from costing me £65 for a full tank to £110. That first fill up was quite a shock!

My e34 M5 had a 90 litre tank, so I was easily doing £100 fill-ups some years ago. The highest was filling up with super at the garage near the 'Ring when £1 was worth about 1€ - and that fill cost £140.

I use the Tesco 99 stuff or V power, only difference is that I get double clubcard points if I pay with my Tesco CC. Last fill up was £96 so soon mounts up.

£105 at the weekend. The tank wasn't even that empty as it's a 22 gallon tank.

How ever did you get £100 of fuel into a 107?!

Did you fill up the boot at the same time? hehe

Currently ticking over at about £80-£85 for the 3/4 tank on a Disco 4. 82l tank at about £1.30 gets me £106.60, but I never run it that dry.

The Fuel Burning Heater that comes on below 4C doesn't help either, despite getting the car warmer quicker.

Been having these for 18 months or so.

No more now as both cars have smaller tanks.

I stopped a fillup at £99.99, I refused to break the £100 barrier.
