Vaccum Cleaners
Discussion
Hi All,
I am needing a new vaccum cleaner and was going to get a dyson one but looking at the prices and how long they allegedly last (not long) these days decided to consider something more robust like a numatic henry.
I had a look at one and thought that it was a bit on the weedy side and then saw the rest of their range. The 2400W twin motor NVDQ570-2 cought my eye. It should last years (as in 20) and be far more powerful than the other "bells and whistles" domestic crap that is out there.
It is for domestic usage but is this going way OTT crazy? Does anyone else have experience of using the bigger numatics?

Dysons are OK until you have to empty them out/clean the filters. Go for the standard Henry, no need for anything more powerful.
we have used one of these for years at our shop , every day. it is a little noisier than it was but works very well.i have a dyson at home which works well but has been repaired at least once.

Miele? We've had one for a few years now and it's not skipped a beat. Only cost about £140 off Ebay, too.
good vac but expensive buying bags all the time unless they have changed since I had one ( being a tight northerner ) just bought a Dyson, very happy with it and a 5 years parts and labour warranty

Our Dyson lasted 2 years and was fixed twice in warranty, the Miele has lasted 5 years so far (and has never needed fixing) and is used every single day (wife, OCD)
HENRY, great and you don't have to use a bag in it either. Should be able to get one for 70-80 quid
