My wife is really keen that we get rid of our Impreza and get something with more boot space as we have a little un. We've settled on the idea of a Forester STI, which as well as being sensible will be a step up performance wise. Excellent!

The only sticking point could be isofix. Does anyone know whether isofix is also standard in Japan (as the car is grey import only) and whether the fsti has it? Please say yes!

I don't know for certain, but I think they do???

The sti impreza has isofix, why don't you stickwith impreza and buy a wagon?? That's what I've got, sti version 1 wagon, never had an issue with carrying stuff for our little one.

Hi Neil,

I have heard via Christina that there are some suggestions that indicate the rigidity of ISOFIX and the direct transfer of energy from the impact can be detrimental to the small occupant, compared to a tight seat belt restraint (and you can get them very tight – I do when putting my Maxi-Cosi’s in the Focus) which has more play… I guess it also depends on the speed and nature of the impact as to which is best… Of course, the final point is that this information did probably emanate from one of the many baby groups my twins go to wink

I think you will miss that Impreza mate…
