SL55 door button

Has anyone any ideas on why the button on the drivers door will not lock the door but will let me open the door if i have the keyless card on me.

I can lock it with the button on the remote.

You use the black button to lock and the chrome part of the handle it unlocks

Black button on handle used to lock door but has now stopped, i have to use the keyfob to lock.

I would say the button part of the handle has gone down, you need to go to specialist or dealer so they can check actual value, that part of the handle can be bought seperatea.
