Introducing My New PJ

OK following some "advice" on here I'm introducing my new acquisition. I bought it from Str8six. Jason seemed to think it was a very genuine car in stunning condition. Well since getting it home I've had chance to look it over somemore and while yes it is very tidy (apart from under the bonnet!)the mileage is questionable. The speedo has been replaced at some point as it's body is still shiney behind the dash and there is no documentation to explain it. However I love it to bits! It's full antique leather interior - which I've not yet seen anywhere else (bit of an aquired taste!) Limited history I have suggests it originally belonged to Martin Brundel TVR as their demonstator. Would love some history if anyone has any! Have joined my local TVRCC and they're a great bunch. Think owning this marque is going to be fun :-)

Cant help with the history but I'm sure someone will be along soon who can.

If you're at the Feb meet I'll look forward to having a more in depth look over the car and help out with any questions you may have, although compared to alot on the hallowed grounds of the Griff forum my knowledge is somewhat limited my knowledge has improved tenfold over the last 3 years of ownership !! See you on the 20th hopefully

I too like the leather. If it were mine I'd have black dials and walnut, and a wood rim wheel.

Simon, Yes I'll be there for feb meet.
Hoover / Slade, I'd love to return the dash to wood, I've been searching the web for some good looking black dials with a thin chrome line round them. (still not found the right ones yet though. with that interior leather I think your right it needs a "classy" dash to set it off.

That is a really nice colour combo. I agree with returning the dash back to wood, it would really suit it.

TVR MADS sell new wood veneer dashboards from supplied from the original company who made them for TVR. They are quite expensive which is why a lot of people go for the metal ones. Here is a link to their ad in the PH classifieds

If you do look at changing the dash then you could look at the matching Nardi steering wheel.

What red is that, and what does it say on the sill plate?

Looking at the colour combo I'm seeing a brown Griff and thinking how nice would one look in brown. Don't recall ever seeing one in brown. Anyone?

Interior looks "clay" to me. Darker than magnolia but often listed as Magnolia anyway.
Same as my old car.

Also love the leather but would get a suede dark brown steering wheel IMHO ! Main thing is just drive the brute ! (I wont get back to blighty until May & getting ratty already !!!)

kevincox - sorry no i'm nearer to Bristol, I know there are several TVR's in my local area but have never yet seen any other than when out on TVRCC events. Guess I'm alone using mine as my daily car
