I've had a few drinks and I've been chatting with a friend and I've remembered that, when I was in Germany, I tried Horsemeat and rather enjoyed it - It's occurred to me that I've not seen it around. Can you get it in the UK at all?

Never seen it in the UK although I suspect you could get it online from France. IMHO not worth the effort though.

I may have encountered horse flavour crisps in Spain years ago. They were called 'cheveaux' I think. It was either horse or mackerel, and they certainly didn't taste like mackerel.

Slight difference though smile

Although, some things I've eaten in spain can only qualify as "mystery meat"

A friend of my is very fond of it and usually gets some on a trip to Germany.
I'm not 100% sure but I seem to remember her saying that she couldn't buy it in the UK.

You could try some Gustafskorv, a horse meat sausage from Dalarna region of Sweden. Not tried it myself, though.

You can get it in France. I get some for the BBQ every Le Mans.
I think the problem in the UK is that we see a horse purely as pet and couldn't bring ourselves to eat it.

For gods sake, the mobile site says that it crashes with an error, so I try to submit my post again and again with error after error. Bloody thing.

I'd delete them if there was a delete button on the mobile site.... But that'd be too easy.
