They seem to be readily available for just about any combo of letters and for any reg car, and at a very reasonable price. Is this because people find them offensive or what?

Friend of mine (Pher whatever) has one I think.

Not bothered by them myself... I'll bet 777 is even more readily available....

Test: If 666 is the number of the beast. What biblical does 777 refer to...

Put lucifer on your car and you're just asking for it! Remember, if a black cat crosses your path when you're driving your beast, then stop, 3-5 point turn your beast and drive away and find another route to your destination!

But then again its all just stupidstition.... or is it???

I´ve got two:

Y666 *** on my Scooby
T666 *** on my Chimaera

both plates *** are the same.

When I bought the Y reg one, the DVLA felt it necessary to make me aware that the number 666 is held by some people to be associated with the Devil.

I bought the T reg one, online. No such "warning".

Y Reg was the new Reg when purchased, cost me 500.
T Reg was bought last year, cost me 250.

There´s a moral in there somewhere.

S666 xxx seems to be available at £249.

But so is S111 and a variety of others all at £249.

Me thinks S111 would be better, just cos it's less hassle, especially with the local vicar. But it may deter Jehovah's Witnesses, which would be better in my opinion!

Dunno, but 888 is mentioned in the passage afterwards.

Some crackpot theologists seem to think that they are the representation of believers and non-believers...

According to The Bible, 666 is the number of the beast because the number 7 is regarding as perfection so 666 is the most imperfect.

I always find it terribly amusing as I was born

Around 6 am on June 6th. And, as it happens, in 1965

I think on a suitably black car it delivers an appropriately menacing entendre.

For example, little could be more suitable than fittment on a Diablo.

Other contenders would include the Cerbera and Tuscan or indeed fire spitting grasshoppers from Hethel.

Slightly naff but I've always had sympathy for the boy Nick.

They didn't deal with numbers over 1000 in those days.

Ah - so the feeding of the 5000 was a typo?

I knew he couldn't do it with 5 loaves and 3 fishes or whatever it was.

Chinese (including my wife) consider 666 to be very lucky. Mind you, she does sprout horns once a month...
