Lambo door kit for Cerberas....
Discussion
I was wandering, would there be much interest in a lambo door conversion kit for cerberas....
I might be able to get the man who designed one of the best aftermarket VLS's around to maybe work on one for the cerbera....
Would you be willing to pay around £1500 for the kit?
I'm sure many of you would appreciate the super long doors on the cerbie to go up instead of out... tight garage moments... parking moments.... etc etc.
Feedback appreciated... pass the word around.. lets see if there would be a demand for this...
Might even get joolz to be the sole supplier and fitter for these, to add to his upgrade facilities for the cerbera.

Its not a problem, theres already a VLS for frameless windows out there.... as far as the strain is concerned, it would have to be bolted internally to the chassis tube going up into the pillar... a little work, not too much...
From what I gather about another similar kit, you press the button, the door opens normally for about a couple of inches, allowing for the window to come down etc etc... and then the hydrolic arm pushs up in a curve...
If I can get enough interest... then there will be a kit available... I think we need a minimum of 25 positives to get the guy to go for the project... hence the high price for the kit...

I don't know the company SXS is mensioning but if its like import precision they can make both automated and manual lambo door kits as you will find on there website, www.importprecision.com
SXS as you have a 3000GT I gather this is the site you seen them on?
Most of the 3000GT owners would love this kit as its just recently came back on the market this year.
For the DIY boys out there that don't want to spend £1500+fitting there is a CD rom available on eBay that teaches you all you need to know about building your own.
Or buy the universal kit on ebay for under £700.
Sorry SXS but I think £1500 for a few pieces of metal is a rip off.
Heres a picky of what is in the basic kits!
Not allot for the money now is it?!

I wouldn't on any car which wasn't already the standard.
I agree with Darren. The Lambo and the Koesigneggerrrrr ones do look great, but they are standard. Putting them on the cerbera, IMHO, is a no no.
Agreed.
Now, see how much you can get some put on my Tuscan for.
Or can your mate do me a koeniggsKinderEgg body kit for the Tuscan??? With blue neon washer jets???? And chrome spinners on the wheels?????
I'll get my (Burberry) coat
Negative??? come on fellas.... we're not talking transformers here... the Ksig is a nice car, but those doors are over the top... just thinking, vertical doors going up, I mean the lack of handles and the frameless design of the door would be finished off with a nice vertical lift touch... I'll knock up a photoshop job and see what you lads think then.... We're not sticking big exhausts and neon lights now... its only a VLS system... agreed, on a shed it looks stupid... but on a beaut like the cerbie, it would look stunning, maybe even get it to do some exotic twisting manouvre as it goes up, maybe go up vertically and then slide around in a little curve.... I see the point though... it didnt come with that feature so would be a little weird... but until seen in the flesh we cant knock it off....

I bet if TVR announced a new cerbie at the motorshow with those doors though you'd all be wetting yourselves over it. ![]()
i think it's a great idea .. all it needs it a bit of vision by someone who doesn't spend all their time with their head in the sand ..
go for it
sound like a laxxers wet dream to me.

)... they open differently, iirc... proper lambo doors open vertically, fake ones open upwards _and_ outwards. (guess this is due to the roof line of original car).
