Right, been looking at TV's for a few weeks now and I "think" I've narrowed it down to two different sets. Trouble is ones plasma and the other LCD, they're different brands and the the big problem is that one will most likely be ex-display.
The two units are:
Panasonic VIERA TXP42G20 - £650 at Richer Sounds but likely ex-display
OR
Sony BRAVIA KDL40EX503 - £570 at Richer Sounds.

I'm aware there are lots of differences between the two sets but I feel from what I've read both would be great for me. I know the 42G20 is better ( everyone tells me anyway ) but I cant find a brand new boxxed one for under £700 and £650 is my max.

SOOOOOO is it worth risking an ex-demo to get the better set or will I never notice the difference and there for go for the brand spanking Sony ????????

PLEASE HELP confused

It'd be the ex-display for me as long at visually the case was ok and not bashed about.

Presumably you'd get the full warranty term for it?

That is the way I am leaning TBH. Just not sure if the 42g20 is nearly £100 better than the Sony to my untrained eye. Every review is slightly different and I am going from a 10 year old panasonic 32" tube so everything will look cracking.

I see your 10 years and raise you another 5. We just went from a 22" Thomson CRT to a 50" Panasonic Plasma. Films never looked so good biggrin
