How to kink a pipe

I have a pair of pipes, hot and cold feeds, running up to the new shower. These will be buried in the wall. Unfortunately they need to go further in to the wall so I need to kink the pipe to allow them to sit a further inch in.

The idea of soldering in a pair of 45 degree joints seems obvious but I have never soldered a joint. What are my options,

a: man up
b: go the spring/pipe bender route
c: anything else?

Compression fittings?

plug ends of pipe,fill pipe with soapy water and freeze once frozen bend over knee

plug ends of pipe and fill with sand bend over knee

buy offset fittings and solder tis easy

Go for the hand bender; after a few practice goes you'll probably find you get quite good with it. I would avoid any buried joints if possible in case they leak. You don't want to be tearing all the new tiles off the wall.

Kink a pipe you say? Depends what floats your boat but I reckon some sussies and a gimp mask should do the trick......or the OXO tower of course.....

Make an accessible joint with a compression fitting and form a piece of pipe using a pipebender.

If it's 1/12" (15mm) these days then a spring should do it, anything larger dia. then I'd go mechanical.

yorkshire fittings are easy to solder.
