I received a non, non-stick wok (an uncoated one) for Christmas.

Anyone have any tips on how best to look after it?

I guess the next thing is the subsequent cleaning of the wok.
Many just wipe them out with a damp cloth and re-oil them beforeputting them away, but I can't do that.... it gets washed properly then put back in the pan drawer for next time.

OK thanks. I've used it a couple of times to cook chicken, so not overly keen on just wiping it with a cloth. Think I'll stick to giving it a wash then drying immediately.

Definitely clean/wash it each time like any other pot you cook with, rinse well. Then dry if off quickly or better chuck it back on the hob to warm through a bit and use a bit of kitchen roll to rub some oil all around it (olive, sunflower - not sure it matters).

We have a lovely handmade wok at home made by one of Shanghai's last wok makers and it's been used regularly for years and is still as good as new smile

Assuming it got it's initial seasoning.
Rinse well with cold water, (removes any sauce bits) while brushing with a brush reserved for that purpose.
Back on the gas to dry it.
Wipe with oil to maintain surface while still on gas.
Let cool, store.
