Is it possible!!!
Discussion
To build a kitcar in a modern garage? The garage is big enough for a Volvo XC90.
I have foolishly got 2 order forms infront of me know and i am seriously considering building a kit car.
My options are with a Westfield based Kit or going for a Subaru Power Murtaya.
I have never been out in a westfield, so i have nothing to compare it against, but i have been out in a Subaru power murtaya and my god was it quick. I like the options on the Westie as i can but in i a number of build packages but the power of the Murtaya is a real draw. I am going to the Westfield factory ina few weeks for a tour and hopefully put the deposit down on the first stage.
I am currently 60:40 in favour of the westie (Megabusa), but now just trying to see if i can cope with a small single garage.
Anyone done it here before
Thanks

I have built Robin Hoods, Ginettas, Locosts, Locusts, and sundry other Kit cars in garages. Its perfectly possible and I am about to start on a Single Seater racer.
You will need heat hoists ramps jacks but it is possible.
Keep to a small car physically the Seven type kitcars are ideal narrow body and short wheelbase help enormously. Good Luck

I can't help with the size question but just wanted to add that I was looking into building a Westfield kit last year (it hasn't happened due to funds and moving into a flat with no garage) and the guys at Westfield are very friendly and helpful, particularly the guy (sorry can't remember his name) who was on the stand at the Festival Of Speed last year.
