Currently i have a 1.2L Punto (first car).
I need a 5 seater car with 5 actual seats in the back & not "bench seating".
As the little guy's next car seat is bordering on lazy boy size.
I have a budget of circa £3.5K.
Currently been looking at Scenics, but i'm looking for suggestions on what else i could consider? Any specific make / model to avoid or consider?

Any sort of special van, Berlingo etc is ddefinately off the list, as is the Multipla! I'd rather walk!

C-Mas probably the best call here, drives quite well and fairly reliable. Altea worth a look too but I'm not sure it has the 3 individual seats.

I'd not considered an Altea, but it looks a v.smart car, but it's a bit over budget.
£3.5k is really the maximum i can afford atm.

I bought a renault kangoo for this reason 10 years ago, it worked well enough and the sliding door helped lifting kids into the back, the multipla is a good bet as it sits a little higher so may reduce stooping whilst lifting junior in, which is probably better for your back, also big windows mean that they will be able to see out, which my kids certainly prefer.
