Losing gears when car warms up
Discussion
I've been on a trackday at Oulton today and I've got a problem with my GT. I lose gears when the car is driven hard, the clutch pedal drops to the floor and I can't get it in any gear.
Once it cools down it seems to be ok again though.
Any ideas what could be causing it? There was a bit of a clutch burning smell the first time it happened. It's happened a couple of times before just driving on the road, but it was really bad today. In the end I could only do 1 lap before having to come back in again. Apparently the previous owner had the clutch changed, so it must have only done 2k or so.
Cheers for any advice!

Also, it's a cable clutch so there's no fluid issues. It's puzzling me how it can work most of the time, and only fail when it gets driven hard? It was fine to drive home after leaving it to cool down for an hour.
Until you said this I was about to relay that S1 Elises had a similar problem caused by a plastic clutch pipe, prone to expansion when the car got really hot.Hrmmm...
