Water Temp Sender

Where do I find the water temp senders? I think I have a loose connection as readings fluctuated from 80 to -56 today within a split second!

More than likely a poor earth.

Water temp gauge was all over the place regardless of aircon. But its interesting that you think they may be connected. How on earth do I trace an earth fault!

Find some time to check them maybe just a loose negative does'nt require much at all.

Is there a Tuscan Bible? I could do with one of those. I need to know where all the earth points are I guess

There are 2 water temp sensors on same side of engine. IIRC The rear one with the larger push on plug feeds the ECU and fans, the one further forward with a short flylead to a smaller plug feeds the dash.

Nick. I recently had pod water temp issues and changed the sensor on the block. This was also diagnosed with the ECU diagnostics. The part was about £11 from RG and it was an easy fit. See the following link for pics. Just take off the bonnet and remove the airbox by undoing the 3 catches and the 2 Allen bolts on the top. You will see the temp sender as in the pic. When you put the new one in I would recco using some PTFE tape on the thread.
