Modern Warfare 2 Hack (PS3)

I just played MW2 online and was in a game that was obviously hacked.

Someone was controlling a gun ship, killing everyone the second they re-spawned - managed to get 123 kills or something when I checked the leader board.

I started the game in a container thing, and managed to get a kill before being destroyed by the hacker. The kill got me 50,000 xp (yes, 50,000 for one kill!) but I died before I could see what challenge it said I had completed. Having checked online I see there is no challenge that gives you this level of xp - maybe the hacker was nice and rewarded me for actually getting a kill? lol.

Anyway, I now have a constant message with a link to a website and youtube channel telling me where to download my own MW2 hack scrolling along the bottom of the menu page (where it normally says your kill rank/score rank etc). Anyone else experienced this and is it something I should be worried about?

ps3 mws are ruined....

The hacker changed the lobby so that everyone got 50,000 per kill.
If you go back to the main menu the scrolling text will disapear it's nothing to worry about.

This. I'm going into town to sell mine later. 38 days play for 40 quid isn't bad value in the end. Just a shame that hackers have killed it. Black Ops is a much better game anyway.

Proud to say I never hacked or cheated on MW2 once.

Just got £9 from CEX. Pays for my BlOps map pack I guess.

The hackers are spoling it at the moment but that should stop with the new upcoming patch.

MW2 is a more superior game than B Ops in my opinion and most other FPS pleyers.

I've ended up in several hacked games every evening I've tried playing now.

The last one was pretty entertaining though - I could jump so high I was level with the harriers that you can call in. At least that hack was funny, although it made killing anyone very difficult.
