Juddering problem with a 2003 2.0 petrol mondeo

My Mondeo has just started to judder. Starts easy and cruises well. But going round corners or accelerating at low speeds means a slight judder. Seems like petrol starvation or lack of fuel being burnt. Hasn't rained for ages so water not likely to be the problem. Anyone got any ideas?

When were the plugs last changed? My 1.8 Duratec was like that when I got it - the plugs were totally burnt out. Looked like the factory fit plugs, not bad to last 52k and 5 years.
