The ZL1 is the new ultimate Camaro using the legendary 1969 code to underline it's the new top dog and using the same LSA engine from the supercharged Cadillac CTS-V.

10bhp more than the GT500 Mustang but still a lot heavier.

Nice to see America worrying about eco-issues. wink

That looks fantastic, but they have put the steering wheel on the wrong side.

Same side as the pedals seems sensible to me whistle

But the left side is the right side...wait, I'm confused.
I imagine with 550hp, overtaking won't be much of an issue.
Let's hope they've sharpened the handling - I think SLP are responsible for these.

That looks absolutely fantastic.
The interior looks vastly better than the lower versions, and hopefully the MR dampers can now deliver some decent handling.

Of course 550hp is just the beginning with that engine...

I like that people like you look at a 500+ HP car and think 'mmm not quite enough'.

The downside is that I spot 4 lights under the bumper capable of being abused in light mist.... wink

Meh, all the better for getting dawdlers out of the way!

Any indication of cost? Will the UK get official imports to go with the SS?

US won't get it until early 2012 and I imagine they will be snapped up and attract a premium for a while.

That's quite nice. Although I think I prefer the look of the last ZL1 wink

Why is that steering wheel not straight for the interior picture?!?!
Annoys me enough when I see that in the classifieds, but on a press shot?!

And yes, I do find myself with the time to get uptight about these trivial sorts of things hehe

True and that had 8.4 litres and 770hp though wasn't an official model.

There was actually a run-out 4th gen Camaro ZL1 "dealer special" which ran a 400hp LS6 engine from the Z06 though again, that wasn't an official model.

For the love of all that is good and holy, make a RHD one, or fk off.

I like it but a 2SS at $34 grand and a supercharger is only going to come in at $40K on the road. I'm guessing this is going to be into Corvette territory price wise when it comes out.

Why?

RHD is an irrelevance for the most part, why would they bother?
