According to "The Moral Maze" last night.
"Has multicuralism failed" was the debate.

"put in the unmentionable corner with paedophiles and climate change deniers" was the phrase in question.

How nice of the BBC to lump the two together. No Agenda goin on there...noooo.

(I can't see this thread running, just wanted a minor moan).

Not surprising really, when you consider the BBC's Science Press Officer is a former leading member of the Revolutionary Communist Party.

Any transctription of this available? Quite a shocking and unjustifiable slight and should deserve a full and unreserved apology.

Not to st on anyone's bonfire here but I interpreted the underlying tone of the comment to be completely the opposite to yours - that is paedophilia and climate change were two topics where people were hysterical in their reactions and no sensible debate could be had, much like multiculturalism was under Labour.

Edit: Although I agree it was quite a lazy way to make the point, they definitely weren't equating climate change denying to being as serious as being a paedophile.

In that case then I shall perhaps step off my soapbox.
I was listening on longwave in a diesel landy on the M1. I may have missed subtleties.

Still, even if that was the case, there is an underlying insidious inference.

Not that funny really, since it's our licence fees paying to prop up this propaganda.

The BBC do seem to making a push to discredit those who question MMGW at the moment, what with the Mockumentary last week where they did Monckton up like a kipper and tried to associate MMGW realists with crazy old women and the thicko rednecks.

Luckily our TV licence runs out this month so we won't be renewing and hence not funding this socialist bks that's forced down our throat as 'the neutral unbiased view'.

fk you BBC biggrin

Hang on.

Even here we don't deny climate change. Only an idiot would do that. Only the man made bit is in question.

Still, a comparison between holding an opinion (informed or not) on one of the most complicated topics in modern science, and a crime as serious as paedophilia is just.... Wow. New low, BBC.

ETA - Just read Johnny's point above. Fair enough. Is this available to listen again?

Fox started her career[when?] at Thames Polytechnic as an assistant PR officer. From there she worked for six years at the Equal Opportunities Commission where she became a senior press officer, followed by two years running the media operation at the National Council for One Parent Families.
Why would someone employ this person in a real job?

Because if she didn't get the job she'd sue them for discrimination tongue out

Stop paying it then.

No point writing emails which will be ignored.

Hit them where it hurts.
