I hope this is ok to post as I see the owner posts fairly regularly.

I must admit I'm not keen on silver but a lot of 'niggly' jobs seem to have been done which is appealing.

However the mileage is on the high side for these with no mention of a rebuild which worries me a bit.

I owned a Griff 500 a few years ago and the memories of the monthly breakdowns are fading so I thought I might try another TVR.

Your thoughts ?

The owner posts on here. I think he has his own garage and that he has got it up to standard. He hasnt (afaik) owned it for veyr long?

The interior colours are pretty standard for that era - there were always lots of silver with red interiors in 97 - 98. I nearly bought a cerb back in 97 in exactly that spec but ended up with a Silver Chimp instead.

dont worry about the milage, V8s are pretty strong unlike the speed 6, and rebuilds are not obligatory they will easily do 100k miles. if it pulls fine and has been regularly serviced dont fear

I wouldnt be worried by the mileage mine has done that much with no problems.Looks like most things have been done to the car so you should have a few years with no bills.Just to put a downer on it a cerb is a lot more to run than a griff though so take that into account.

I don't object to the interior colour (maybe I should be a pimp)

The Griff actually cost me bugger all as I sold it for more than I bought it for which covered the cost of repairs (which were all minor yet all stopped the car)

I would say that if you get that car you have got a steal at that price.

Just look at the work that has been done.

having nearly bought a silver with mulberry.......its pretty good in the flesh and the one in question looks in pretty damn good condition.

Looks like excellent value to me. All the little jobs sorted plus a totally rebuilt chassis. The mileage wouldn't worry me - it proves it works!

Thanks that's just the kind of thing I was hoping for and makes me more inclined to buy it.

Currently considering it, shame everything I want to buy is so far away and that my wife just looked over my shoulder and saw the price.

Kimbolton's not far from the Midlands. A quick blat along the A14, job done. A nice bit of dual carraigeway on the way home to stretch the legs of the new toy (just mind the greed cameras at Kettering!), what are you waiting for?

I paid more than I wanted for mine, but I'm smitten, and dont regret it one bit. Come on, man up!!
