Upgrading 430 steel brakes

Hi
looking at buying a 430 spider and having had (use of) one for a few months last year with ceramic brakes, and then having tried the steel-braked version, I know that I couldn't have one with the standard brakes. Question is, are any of the upgraded steel systems good or should I find a carbon disc'ed model?
