Good afternoon chaps,

Does anyone know if anyone manufactures a retro style TV, but with modern internals to enable me to watch digital?

Something like this would be perfect, but seems it is not available in this market...

Why not just plug a digital adaptor into an old portable? Seems to work fine on my 1980s Grundig, that I keep because the image is several billion times better than on a crappy 14 inch LCD.

Just make a cabinet for a flat screen? Or get a cabinet from a recycling centre and stick 17 inch flat scrren in it?

If you are just after the look then it wouldnt be too hard to knock up a wooden carcase for a 'normal' flatscreen!

Or mdf and spray it?

Google brionvega and have a look at the doney. then look at the price and see if the idea still appeals. they launched at E500 a few yrs back, the cost now is just plain ridiculous.
