hi leigh, yes i am missing my road tvr badly and thought i would get a little v8 for the summer so am on the lookout for something to play with!
how you getting on with the racer!
I know how you feel my 400SE has been off the road for far too long, been working on a friends car (I need the money) so not touched the racer, but I can always race as is if I don't have the time for Mods I want to do. Once the weather gets a bit better though be able to do some after work, bro has been ill so that's not helped, how you getting on with the racer!
Hows your racer coming on.

in for a complete rewire and new challenge spec gearbox and it might get a matt black vinyl rap before the season starts or something wildly bright not sure yet but bored with silver as i don't think it suits the shape, other than that fresh tyres and were ready to rock!!
You got all your temperature problems sorted now, you not going to go back to black and purple then
yeah new ali rad and cowling to force all the air through plus new oil pressure and temp sensors going in, to keep an eye on things, she ran for hours after the season had finished at brands, typical
finally get it sorted and the racing finishes.now you mention it i think black and purple are a great idea, back to my lucky colours.

I've been pleased with my SPA Gauge and sensors, a bit expensive but compact and accurate and reliable.

Nice to hear its running well, can spoil the fun a bit.
It's looking like we are going to have a wide range of car's and abilities so should be someone for everyone to battle with. Faster cars with new drivers and slower cars with drivers with more experience, so should be interesting if everyone gets out who has said they are.
used a radtech, good price, good service, dropped 15-20 degrees off the temp immediately although i did fit act coolant hoses aswell as the ones on the car weren't the right size.
ps i think we are rambling on in the wrong forumn,
back on track, does anyone know the history of the wedge as i am definately going to have a punt at that one!

This car sold at a classic car auction near hereford in 2009 for £3300, it then sold at the same auction towards the end of 2010 for £2300 which is where I went to view it. At that time it was in a sorry state. The bonnet was covered in serious micro blisters, it had minor accident damage to the rear nearside, there were spider cracks to various parts of the bodywork. The hood was in bad condition and looked like it had been painted with something, it was shiny and worn. The hood didnt have what you would call damage, it was just very worn and shabby. The interior smelt damp and the leather on the seats was faded and cracked. I didnt hear it run. I didnt consider bidding on it at all but then I was looking to spend more than it sold for and in the end I did spend a lot more on a 400SE that I am almost going to be selling in the next month or two to finance a Vantage V8. It looks like it has had the paintwork sorted out, from what I can see from the photos the roof looks the same. The seats look slightly better than they were and the interior is cleaner.
