Whats the crack with Sankeys? Heard good things about it. Is it worth the entrance fee?

Any other suggestions for some nice northern quater bars??

Actually considering anal treet. Rekon it'll make for an interesting night.

Hi,

Definitely the Northern quarter (if you want trendy late bars etc - without too many nutters!)...

Start up near the Crown Plaza end.... TV21 (futuristic bar with a space shuttle & various strange thinhs inside), Trof (cool 3 storey late bar), Odd Bar (trendy - lots of chaps with jeans tucked into distressed boots!), Bluu (Modern bar - I think they have them in a few cities), Walrus (can't remember what its like), Black Dog Ballroom (Late bar - also has lots of pool tables?!)...

Anyhow, they are all within a couple of 100m of each other with other bars in the vicinity (you cant really go wrong)..

Enjoy

Depends on what type of music you like, if you like house and techno its definitely worth a look, Funkademia at the Mint lounge (in the northern quarter) is pretty decent. If you are in to bass music then there is a pretty decent DnB night on at academy on saturday. As far as bars go when in the northern quarter I normally visit Tv21, Trof, The Northern or Odd.

I would hasten to add that I am from Notts but have just been out in Manchester a few times recently with friends & work events! After the 1st time I went and ended up on the other side of town in some places that I can neither remember, nor recommend, I asked some frieds the best places to go and (on subsequent visits) ended up @ the places I mentioned!!

I have to say though, it is a really good night out round there - you dont get too many of the '15 pints of Carling + a fight' types!!

socio rehab, trof, noho, northern, black dog

also if you go NQ then split your group of lads up as any more than 2 in one go will get knocked back from any of the bars.
