new "family" BMW but should be fun!!
Discussion
Hi All,
After having seen and tested various E39 M5s, I decided that I just couldn't justify the 15 mpg around town driving nor the potential for big Vanos bills, especially as there is the Cerbera in the garage for when I need some fun!!
SO
I have gone for what I believe the next best thing - a 2003, 53, E39 530d M Sport.
I absolutely LOVE the look of these - much better looking, in my opinion, than the E60 model
It's a last of line with 83K miles, full history, grey leather, angel eyes, sport suspension an of course the gorgeous 18 inch parallel alloys!
I have a nice test drive and with 193 HP, it goes pretty well whilst returning over 40mpg on a run. There is potential for 230hp with a chip but I think I will leave alone for now.
Hope you like it - plans are to have it detailed and that's about it!!

BMW unfortunately lost the plot after the E46/E39/E38-series.
