I'm looking to replace the steering wheel in my Vixen S3. I'm looking at the Moto Lita MkIV but not sure whether to go 13" or 14", flat or dished.

Anybody got experience of these or alternatives?

In case you want to widen your search for a new steering wheel, the original equipment on my Nov 1971 Tuscan V6 was an Astrali steering wheel.

It is a 13" flat leather bound wheel complete with Astrali sticker.

Interesting 'cause that's exactly what I have in mine.

For interest to others !
I very much like the look of the original small boss Mota Lita 'Vixen Steering Wheels'
I am currently doing a total restoration on my S2 Vixen. I want to retain the 'original' look to the interior.
Mota Lita are currently restoring one of these wheels for me (kindly donated by Mr Stallard)
This is not a cheap operation, but to my eyes will look right!
I must make sure I keep this Vixen, having sold the previous two I did for myself. There is nothing like a good Vixen !!
Cheers Ian B.

This is my old 1972 Vixen S3 with a Mountney wooden steering wheel fitted, I've also fitted the same type of steering wheel to my 79 M Turbo. No complaints at all from me.

Cheers,

I have the same Mountney as that in mine, but it's looking proper knackered these days, so I'm thinking of getting a leather Mountney.

I believe that the woodrimmed wheel was standard equipment, but a leather one was available as an optional extra for the princely sum of £8. smile
