When is your hardtop coming off...?

Think mine will be tomorrow, the OH has gone to the rugby so it won't get done today

Such a gorgeous day today biggrin

But then again I haven't got a proper MX5, it's one of those imposters with heated seats & a mega heater!
Yes I do drive an NC whistle

Heated seats?
Isn't that defeating the object?

Diane, trust me when I say SELL THE HARDTOP! Nothing like topless winter driving, better than summer imo.

Problem is, I go on the motorway every day for work, topless motoring on the M1 at 70mph is not fun in the cold, within minutes I can't see for streaming eyes and a runny nose frown
Not so bad on the way home on warmer days smile

Had mine off for a blast in North Yorkshire then put it back on as frosty overnight. Guess you can't win..

Leaving mine on for a couple of weeks yet, more snow expected towards the end of the month. I have the top down as much as possible but I think the car looks much better with the hard top on.

Hardtop's been off a while now!

I don't like the way it looks with it on and I don't like the lack of freedom to get the roof down whenever I like! In fact the only thing I do like it that it keeps the tins of snow from stretching the soft top!

My hard-top has been off for 13 years. I never felt the need to buy one wink

To be fair I got the car in december and the only reason the hardtop is still on is that I don't yet have a storage bag/stand.

Hi all, fairly new to MX5 ownership (bought just before Christmas). We've dropped the top at every chance so far, out on the moor or nipping to work or shops. Somehow I don't think the excitement is going to wear off as the weather gets better...

These were taken a couple of Sundays ago. woohoo!

With you totally! Picked my mk1 up on Friday and drove the 130 miles home up M1 & M6 top down, windows up and heater on full with a hat on!

Even at an indicated 80mph, was warm as a warm thing!!

What is a hardtop anyway...?!!!

Yup I think mine will be off soon, once I can find some decent storage for it.

Mine is coming off as soon as the garden furniture comes back out of the garage and I've got somewhere to keep it again. Hopefully in the next few weeks woohoo
