C Class Command System

With the current Command system in a C class is it possible to use the radio and nav ( via the turn arrows on the display behind the wheel) with the pop up screen closed ? I have only played with them in the showroom and it seems that as soon as you press the on button the screen pops up . The salesman didn’t seem to know.

Yes, there is a button to just close the screen. Everything else still works.
