Morning All,

The Mrs and I are currently 3 and a bit months into our travels, and beginning to plan the next chapter of our adventure.
We are looking into possibly doing a Ski Season in New Zealand, basically just wanted to see if anyone on here had done anything similar or had any advice on which resort to try and get to?

Not sure about the ski season as I was there in summer, but I would definatly reccommend Queenstown. I ended up staying there for the best part of a month just bumming around and working for accomodation at a hostel, loads of stuff to do in summer, so imagine the ski season is even better!

Make sure you scare the living sh*t out of yourself by doing the Nevis Bungee, and that you suitably shorten your life span by tackling a 'Big Al' from Fergburger.....! burger :lick

Hi - i am lucky enough to ive in Arrowtown which is just outside of Queenstown. We have 4 ski fields within an hour or so. Coronet Peak which is 20 mins from Queenstown - very busy and nick name of concrete hill due to snow conditions, Cardrona - local resort, 45 mins from Arrowtown and recommended, Remarkables - 30 mins from Queenstown and more a snow boarders resort and finally Treble Cone, about an hour and a half from Arrowtown, intermediate to advanced resort.

Top tip - get to any of the resorts early or you'll find your parking quite a way from the ski area, lift passes now on sale and may be better value to get a seasons pass.
