does anyone here use a arcam solo mini?

so iv sold my rotel gear. and got a good enough price to pick up a new arcam solo mini.

does anyone use the said unit? and more so what speakers are you using.
superfi didnt really have any 'upmarket' speakers in to listen to. just the usual b&w 600 series and the kef equivalants.

i currently use some original quad 11L speakers, but will be looking to change soon to some pmc db1's, MA gr10's etc.

any input would be great

I've looked in to these, as I was trying to persuade my mum to buy one. My current setup is:

Nad 352 amp
Arcam CD73 cd player
Quad 11L
etc
I demoed the solo mini in a shop that's now gone. B&W 685's were used, along with ATC SCM 11's.
Now I know the ATC's are pricey, but they definitely sounded worth the extra £s to me. I'm not keen on the sound of my NAD amp, even though its much more powerful than the solo mini, I found the sound quality astonishing. Well worth a look IMO.

i find the quad 11L's very easy to drive. mine are the original versions and are a fantastic, for the price, speaker.

astounded the arcam can power the scm 11's

Hi,
I have an Arcam Solo Mini, I'm using it with a pair of Dynaudio Excite X12's and they sound great.
To get the best from my speakers, I should really have an Amp and use the solo as my pre amp, but saying that, the solo drives them really quite well.
