Evo mag reviewed and compared it against the RS and it was faster in a straight line IIRC.

I've read that review and a few others, just seeing if anyone had real life experiences.

I have the Mountune 260 on my car, which was fitted on a used car by a Ford dealer. I choose this over an aftermarket due to wanting to keep my ford warranty. The conversion is all but invisible to the eye, with just a slightly ( ableit a lot bigger) visual intercooler in the front.
I only drove my car on a test drive from the dealer prior to purchase, but have been in standard and modded st's in the past. I came from a Lotus Elise, so performance was only fair as standard.
The difference in the torque is fantastic, it does really motor now and it has enough go to get into silly speeds very quick, so you do keep aware of this. Overtaking is effortless. I put a Dream Science exhaust on mine as a catback for now, as Mountune/ Millteks were not around at the time I wanted it.
Worth its money? Yes, definately. Lots of other companys doing plug in tunes will possibly work to a degree on a standard car , but when the weather warms with the standard intercooler, air temps will back the power off. The achilles heal is the intercooler, on standard is on the limit for average temps. This means that the supply and install of the Mountune is not 'that' expensive and also is a lot easier to insure, as will be on the database as an upgrade rather than modified.
Would I do anymore? The wife says it is quick enough, but I do like the thought of the Mountune inlet manifold and maybe a sportscat and down pipe making it about 300bhp ish. Lots of cars on rollers ( not a great way of testing I agree) have shown that they are nearer 280 than the 260 ps that is sold as. I guess thats cheap fuel V's super etc
Also, one thing to check, but it will happen to any car with a tune, the clutch can be a weak spot, although Mountune do an upgraded RS clutch supplied and fitted with a DM Flywheel for £650 inc VAT so worse case senario. This is about £200 less than other outlets, so bear this in mind
