It's a bit like this...

Top pic: sectional view through dash showing captive stud glassed-in to the dash. Rib formed in firewall below windscreen.
Bottom pic: plan view showing location of studs (black circles, sort of) and slots cut into rib. One stud is approximately behind the speedo, the other is above the glovebox (dotted outline) so a bit fiddly to get at. Nuts and washers on the studs clamp the dash to the rib, just slacken the nuts a couple of turns and the dash should pull away.

You seem to use the same drawing software as I do
Who says we need all this adobe cad design stuff
Mine's called FagCAD You seem to use the same drawing software as I do

Who says we need all this adobe cad design stuff

Er, which is to say, a reference to 'drawn on the back of a fag packet', no intimation as to the sexual proclivities of the user...
I could have fired up AutoCAD but it seemed a bit of a waste

It would have taken the work 'cad beatches' about 2 days to produce a drawing not far off of that one, which is exactly why I 'fag packet' it all on site and then send them the 'as builts' once we are finished.
It does tend to piss the designers off when you send the drawings back with ' this will never work, have you actually ever been to site and seen a treatment works before, you cock' across their designs!!
