You mean Globes....and I doubt they gave what he did a second thought. It's the BAFTAS.....not the comedy awards.

I think its just that Gervais is far funnier than Ross.

Ratings were up and Gervais has been asked to do next years Globes, IIRC, but maybe Ross/BAFTA had to promise not to 'attack' the celebs otherwise they wouldn't turn up?

The BAFTAs has a very different feel to the GLOBES.....it's the UK's OSCARS and the OSCARS would NEVER have Gervais host. Ross doing the Comedy Awards is where he does the gags.

And Gervais isnt doing next years Globes (at this time...you think they pick a host within 3 weeks of the event the previous year?)

That said....the show's badly run (nothing to do with the host)

Johnathon Ross is just horrible! The dead rat on his chin makes him look more like a tt! He has never been funny but tonights performance is scripted, so cant blame him this time!
