I am thinking of going for the delicate procedure mentioned in the title. Can someone give me an idea of the procedure running up to the event (doctors and stuff)??

Cheers,

One squeamish person.

Cant say it was too bad. My wife held my hand until the surgeon cauterised the frayed bits! Buy a jock strap though as it helps the boys recover.

I had it done a few years ago - no stitches on the outside.
The Dr left some ice packs on my nads, which of course causes the skin to shrink, so no stitches needed. thumbup
I would suggest either a jockstrap or wearing a pair of speedos for the 1st couple of days .... and don't go digging your garden over the day after like a mate of mine did. He was like Buster Gonad at the end of the 2nd day! laugh

That's one way to stop spitting the dangerous venom CK.

No problem with mine, the worst bit was shaving before hand and the wait just before you get onto the table, especially when you sight the pretty nurse on hand to assist.
(God she was gorgeous)
You might feel a slight tug , one each side when they cut the tubes. It made me lift each leg up a bit, but other than that no pain whatsoever. Just make sure you wear the special underwear garment they give you afterwards. And no heavy lifting for a few days.

You can then look forward to producing the samples afterward, the only time you can probably say to the other half that you need to masterbate without her getting offended wink

I had it done about a year ago. Annoyingly the day that I was supposed to have it done it snowed really badly so a different doctor and nurse stepped in (fully qualified and experienced obviously). No issues than they were both women - no problems, just have an understanding how women feel when they get a mail gynecologist!

Anyway, I had the tie procedure. Small incision and then tie the tubes up. Stitch up the cut (very small) and then its off you go. Walked in, 40 minutes later walked out. Took the week off work (worked from home) and was fine. Its variable, but I had a funny pulling sensation for a while, but it didnt hurt as such. You are recommended to not lift heavy weights or anything like that for a few weeks and to stay off sex for a while too, as it could put pressure on the cut etc. But its all pretty simple and easy.

One comment though, you are required to provide semen samples (which is odd) and you need to prove that you have zero count for a period of many weeks - cant remember the interval! Its something like 12 weeks or something, so dont expect to have it done and then to be clear when its healed! You do have to wait, and if your wife / girlfriend is taking the pill etc, best to keep going. Only when you are clear can you drop it.

Oh, and not sure about the burn technique - but the tie method for me, I was recommended that you DONT wear tight underwear. Wear supportive ones, but ones that allow plenty of air too - so speedo's are out. That said, it doesnt hurt (for some it does) and millions of blokes have had it done around the world, so its not a problem.

I had it done last July, like someone said earlier the worst bit was the needle in the nads. Here we are six months later and I still haven't had the all clear. The official line is 30 ejaculations in 10 weeks, I must have Turbo sperm.

That's what I had about twenty years ago, all very easy apart from the surgeon didn't listen to me about the reactions I have to local anaesthetic, I felt quite ill on the table and he rushed one side and managed to knick the vein that runs along side the tube he was cutting. All was fine and I was about to go home until I noticed one of my gonads had swollen to the size of a tennis ball and blood was leaking out of the incision, it all started going down hill from there with two days in hospital and six weeks off work. I did post the full and gory details a few years ago but lets keep this between me and you as I wouldn't want to put the OP off wink

I think the 'anticipation' was the worst part. Op itself wasn't painful (thanks to local anaesthetic) bit of discomfort for a few days afterwards. Much as everyone else has posted really.smile

My appointment was 8am. Signed some forms. Stripped from the waste down and lay on operating table. My surgeon was a female and so was her assistant. Felt very comfortable.

Surgeon felt for the tubes. Then gave the injection, which was a very strange feeling, a little unpleasant but not painful. She then felt for the tubes again and cliped them into place i think. Made a small incision. Then she burnt the tubes left and right etc.

Once she had finished the burning she then left me for a minute or two to check for any bleeding and decided that i did not need stitches.

Had a nut hammock thingy put on me and and that was it all done.

Once dressed was advised to take it easy for a week and preferably have at least a day or so with my feet up.

I left, drove home, took my son to school, went did the weekly shop and then back to work. My day ended at around 12.30am.

I did not rest at all.

My nuts was slightly bruised and so a little discomfort when walking. But the whole experience was no big deal at all. The idea of it is worse than reality.

you must shave the area plus surrounding 10 inches and get plenty of sex in before as it'll be months before you can perform again...

I had mine done about 10 years ago. Worst bit of the whole thing was the injection. Felt like the needle was the size of a football valve pump needle... with it being forced slowly into a bk.

Other than that fine, quick snip, snip, burn, burn.. DONE.

I did find I had to steri strip the cut for a few days as the skin wouldn't close the way they'd just left it unstitched.

Had it reversed 18 months ago! smile

For those with needles and cuts in bks and jock straps, what's that all about? mine was done just above my testicles either side of my penis.

It really is a doddle.

Little jab into each sack and then nothing.

A bit of brusing after that - just remember that a bag of frozen peas is your friend!
