Which one are you thinking of? I'm not that far from Grove, and there's lots of good roads round there

B4494 at a guess Be interested to know what other roads get a thumbs up round that way though!

Liking the response so far! Apart from roads.. decent place? We're thinking of moving there... pubs, schools, people friendly? etc etc

I'd look at North Wantage (the Grove side as well). As this puts you in walking distance from the centre of town. I lived there for a number of years and as has been pointed out the roads out of Wantage are bordering on the fantastic (though one or two are now bloghted with the Oxfordshire blanket 50mph!). Besides the B4494 towards Newbury, the roads out to Hungerford, Faringdon and Lambourn are all worth a trip out, and several circalur routes can be devised!
