Old BTvision box

Does anyone know if I can use my old BT vision box to get the freeview channels without any BT phone line?

I have tried it but nothing happens, any ideas?

I rescued one when my parents moved out of their flat last year. When I searched and found that it needed hardware mods to stop it looking for a BT account so I gave up.

However the supplied ethernet over mains adapters are used to enable iPlayer and other internet facilities on my Panasonic TV.
