Looking to replace our Xsara Picasso with a similar type of vehicle and one thing has stood out - the cheapness of the Tacuma.

Visually they're not particularly different to the Almeria Tino/Renault Scenic/latest Picasso so why are they so cheap?

I know the answer is probably going to be "because they're rubbish", but if you could qualify such answers with personal experience then it would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers

They're cheap because used car traders aren't interested in them.

Thanks for the replies so far people - anyone out there ever owned one of these?

The Tino is looking a possibility at the moment.

The Tacuma isn't a bad thing really, but it's old. I was driving one in 1998, it's now 2011.

It's a 90's Daewoo built on an 80's GM platform, they were old hat at launch (good party though).

What about a Ford Focus Cmax? Much better than any currently on your list.

No, six months before UK launch.

Sorry, '99 on an S, or a T, or was it a V? hehe Defo before V I think, as it was before my Nubira CDX auto which was Sept 99 on a V.

I'd also suggest looking at Mazdas. we had a 5 and it was very good. a friend has a premacy and it's very reliable. they also do the aptly-named MPV in similar vein.

Daewoos are Daewoos regardless of badge, mainly based (in the past) on second-hand outmoded technology.
