Discussion
Just booked my ticket for the formula 1 at silverstone. Pretty excited really as i have not been since 2006.
Gone for the full 3 day ticket, booked a hotel too so its all good.
Gone for the platinum seats at village B grandstand.
So, who else is going and what tickets you got???
P.S No willy waving or nothing, just curious and excited lol.

I'll be there in the new elevated Club stand.
It's supposed to give good views so you see the cars from Stowe all the way to new start/finish straight.
I've been 3 times before, but haven't been for 3 or 4 years now.
I'm in the same stand. TBH I tried to get in the new International pits straight with it being new but it had sold out. Camping for the 3 days at Hamilton fields, did the same year before last and enjoyed it. There is nearer campsites but i like what i know. It's supposed to give good views so you see the cars from Stowe all the way to new start/finish straight.

I would go, but it's so expensive compared to other GP's, for instance the Italian GP this year has a 3 day ticket for around £85.
We've got 3 day admission to the Hungary GP for about £95 - but when I've been to Silverstone the general admission for 3 days has only been around £100 - I don't think it's much more this year. Not bad value for 3 days top notch international sporting event. Stands are expensive anywhere.General admission viewing areas do seem to be shrinking though year by year

I still think £149 is pretty good value for money really.
It's 3 days of activities, including the aftershow party in the centre of the track which is normally good entertainment in itself.
A colleague in the office was looking at tickets for the big football games this year. (FA Cup final, Champions league final) You should see the price of tickets for events like those, and thats for just 90 minutes of entertainment!
(he decided that he WOULDN'T be going to see them after all)

Booked "lively" camping whatever that means...
It just means you'll be in the section of the campsite with the bars, food outlets, and entertainment right in the middle, the quiet parts are in the field behind the hedge. They are further away from the track as well. Hopefully the new permanent shower facilities and clubhouse will be ready in time for this years race.Booked "lively" camping whatever that means...
