HT leads

I have narrowed down my acceleration and rough running issues to my HT leads ,what i wanted to know is do i have to buy mx5 leads @ £30 when astra/clio leads look the same at a fraction of the cost. I know people will say "you get what you pay for" and "i would only use the recomended leads" bla bla. I get the feeling the price for the'real thing' has been hiked up alot because of the failure rate of the leads

IIRC HT leads are a service part to be changed every 20k miles. If you intend to regularly change leads every year or 18months I can't see it would be a problem. You are then just consuming 'disposable' leads. If you want to leave em in for a while though I'd recommend a better quality set.
